Yolanda D. Smith
Encouraging people to get back to the basics by taking care of their bodies by eating healthy and by exercising in order to fulfill the purpose God have for them.
• Yolanda Smith is a native Houstonian, graduate of Willowridge High School, Bachelor of Science Business Management, University of Phoenix, Certified Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer through NETA, (National Exercise Training Academy) She is also CPR Certified and completed the requirements to administer Standard First Aid through American Red Cross.
• She is also the founder and CEO of, “Get Fit For Purpose,” a group fitness program designed to motivate and assist people to get fit for the purpose God have for them.
• In her professional career, she is also a Business Development Manager for Coca-Cola Bottling Company since 1996.
• She has volunteered at the Women’s Shelter in Downtown Houston, special guest of the DELTA Sorority, to motivate Women to become physically fit, she has also volunteered with the WIC Centers of Houston in the Southwest area of Houston and received a certificate of appreciation for a one day fitness seminar.
• She recently volunteered at MS National Multiple Sclerosis Society Houston Walk, held on Sunday, September 9, 2007 by warming up the walkers/participants and stretching the various teams to help prevent any injuries.
• She is currently designing a group fitness program entitled, CorporateFit by GFFP, in which will be offered to corporations interested in offering her fitness program to its respective employees. She plans to hire staff as she expands her fitness programs.
• Although Yolanda Smith is very active she takes pride in being a single mother of two, 16 year old daughter Stephanique, and 12 year old son Stephan Smith.
• She is very active in her children’s life. Her daughter plays AAU basketball during the summer months and travels and her son is also active in sports. Yolanda has attended all of her children activities and is a motivator and role model to them.
• Yolanda Smith has been a member of Harvest Time Church since 1999, under the Pastorialship of Bishop Shelton Bady. She is a part of the Voices of Harvest Choir where she serves faithfully and a member of the Women of Excellence Ministry.
